The Clearinghouse of Choreography

The Clearinghouse of Choreography is part of TheGoldenDance.com

This site contains choreography which Michèle and others have developed for various pieces of music for solo/ensemble handbells. This choreography differs from that which is published with the pieces, sometimes only a little but sometimes quite a lot.

Feel free to use this choreography! It's here so that we don't all have to re-invent the wheel everytime we learn a new solo!

If you've got suggestions for improvements to any of the choreography here, or if you've got choreography of your own for a piece that you don't see listed here, please submit it for posting.

This site created & maintained by Michèle Sharik.

Michèle moved from Cleveland, Ohio, to the San Francisco Bay Area in January of 2002 to join the professional handbell ensemble Sonos. In addition to ringing with Sonos, she is a member of the Sonos Quartet, teaches private handbell lessons and workshops and often appears as clinician at regional handbell events. She serves as Director of Handbells for Sunnyvale Presbyterian Church and for Trinity Episcopal Church

As a Handbell Solo Artist, she has competed in two national Solo/Ensemble events, and is increasingly in demand to take the stage across the United States, Canada and abroad. This year, her tour schedule includes concerts in California, Ohio, Michigan and Colorado as well as in London and Bristol, England, and Dunblane, Scotland.

Michèle is dedicated to presenting solo handbells as a serious concert instrument on a par with flute, harp, or piano. She majored in Composition and minored in Flute Performance at the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati. A California Girl at heart, she enjoys the beaches and mountains as much as possible with her husband, Brian.
